Helen asked me to replace her raised bed frames which were rotting away. She had seen a kit comprising
plastic pieces that interlinked and was about to order this before we worked out how much this would cost
just for the materials.
As an alternative, I suggested using decking boards, backed with damp proof membrane and set on
2 foot posts driven into the clay subsoil.
