Cathy (in Seaton Sluice)

Cathy lives just round the corner from me and asked me to replace some rotting boards in her raised beds. I suggested that we should maximise the growing space and simplify the project by making one raised bed in the space defined by the paths in the garden.

I was able to source some second-hand scaffolding boards that looked well once they were cleaned up and again lined them with DPM to provide a longer life. I added some compost to the topsoil to create a better growing medium and recommended a couple of years of crop rotation to help to make a really productive growing plot.

"This looks really good and we will enjoy the additional growing space."
